Job summary

Mercy St Louis Hospital seeks an RN First Assist for the Main Operating Room on a PRN basis. You will apply perioperative nursing skills to support the surgical team and ensure high-quality patient care throughout procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a nursing degree with an active MO RN license, at least 1 year of perioperative nursing experience, and BLS/ACLS within the first year. CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification preferred.

Qualifications

• RN First Assist role requires perioperative nursing competencies.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments.
