Job summary

Mercy St Louis Hospital is seeking an RN First Assist for the Main Operating Room on a PRN basis. The role requires perioperative nursing experience, active RN licensure in Missouri, and BLS/ACLS within the first year. CNOR or RN-First Assistant certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 1-year perioperative nursing experience.
• BLS/ACLS required within first year.
• CNOR certification and/or RN-First Assistant certification class preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients.
• Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
• Demonstrates alignment with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
