Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a Registered Nurse First Assistant to support surgical teams in the operating room. The role involves exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical tasks under surgeon supervision. You will ensure patient safety and adherence to hospital policies.

Requirements include a Wisconsin RN license, completion of an RNFA or recognized first-assisting program, and BLS within 6 months. Travel reimbursement, housing allowance, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Completion of an accredited RNFA or first-assisting program.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, closure and other technical tasks during surgery.
• Prepare and organize sterile supplies, instruments, equipment and drapes for procedures.
• Position patient safely for surgery and assist with visualization of the operative site.
• Assist with wound closure and dressing application.
• Assist in inserting and securing drainage systems and safely using surgical equipment.
