A healthcare staffing agency seeks a skilled Staff Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) to join their operating room team. The role requires strong perioperative experience and clinical expertise in surgical environments. Qualifications
At least 2 years in perioperative nursing required.
1 year of med/surg nursing preferred.
Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) required.
Basic Life Support (CPR) required.
Must hold an active RN license in Massachusetts.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
RNFA certification required within 2 years of hire.
Responsibilities
Provide direct and indirect nursing care in a perioperative setting.
Collaborate with the surgical team and serve as a first assistant to the surgeon.
Apply knowledge of surgical aseptic techniques and demonstrate proficiency in emergency situations.
Lead patient-centered care using the nursing process.
Guide and teach ancillary personnel while ensuring adherence to nursing standards.
Fulfill call rotation and occasional weekend or evening shifts as needed.

Strong knowledge of surgical aseptic technique
Ability to perform effectively in high-stress situations
