Cynet HealthStaff seeks an experienced RN-FA for a 6-month assignment in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate holds a current Wisconsin RN license, has OR/Surgical experience, and will obtain BLS certification within six months.
As the RN First Assistant, you will assist the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, and closure, prepare sterile supplies and drapes, help position the patient, and support the team under hospital policies to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Description:The Registered Nurse First Assistant assists the surgeon with exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other technical tasks during surgery.This role ensures safety and optimal patient outcomes under the surgeon's supervision and in accordance with hospital policies.The RN First Assistant prepares and organizes sterile supplies, instruments, equipment, and drapes for surgical procedures.They assist the surgical team to position the patient for the surgical procedure in a manner that ensures a safe patient experience.This position provides visualization and utilizes appropriate techniques to assist with hemostasis.The RN First Assistant safely utilizes surgical equipment and supplies such as pneumatic tourniquets, electrocautery, and endoscopy equipment.They assist with the closure of body planes using appropriate techniques and apply appropriate wound dressing.Additionally, they assist in inserting and securing drainage systems to tissue and perform other duties as requested.Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail are required for this position.
