Job summary

Bridgeview Eye Partners in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Registered Nurse for its surgical team. You will provide care before, during, and after procedures, record symptoms, administer medications, and support patient recovery.

This role emphasizes patient education and compassionate care, with no night, weekend, or holiday shifts. A BSN is required, and ACLS within year; BLS and Indiana RN license; surgical OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BS/BSN degree required.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS certification required within one year of employment.
• Minimum of one year of related work experience in a surgical/operating room environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to individuals in the pre-surgical, operative and recovery periods; collaborates with medical staff to promote coordination of patient care.
• Adhere to compliance standards and nursing regulations to ensure quality care.
• Provide emotional and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment and assist healthcare staff as needed.
• Follow infection-control policies and procedures for medication handling and storage.
• Protect patient information and confidentiality.
