Job summary

Cataract & Laser Institute in Indiana seeks a Registered Nurse to support our surgical team before, during, and after procedures. You will deliver direct patient care, monitor symptoms, and educate patients and families. The role emphasizes compassionate care and collaboration with the medical staff to ensure optimal outcomes.

Requires Indiana RN licensure, BLS, and ACLS within one year. At least one year of OR/surgical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana and current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year surgical/operating room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in pre-surgical, operative, and recovery periods.
• Monitor patient symptoms and administer medications as prescribed.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions and care plans.
• Maintain a compassionate environment and ensure infection-control compliance.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and safety.
