Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a registered nurse to join our acute care team. This full-time, day-shift position emphasizes comprehensive patient assessments, care plan development, medication administration, and patient education.

Ideal candidates have an Associate’s in Nursing with RN licensure, English fluency, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Experience in acute care is preferred, with Bachelor's in Nursing desirable for advancement.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required (US) and active registration.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively with patients and team.
• Basic computer skills; navigate Windows-based programs.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments across physical, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans; regularly reassess and revise as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments safely per orders and protocols; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care.
• Collaborate with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure effective communication.
