Job summary

AdventHealth Lenexa is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide patient education from admission to discharge, implement care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians.

This PRN, Day shift role requires 2 years acute hospital experience, RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS/TNCC preferred. Fluency in English and basic computer skills are required. Competitive pay range is $15–$130 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to use abstract reasoning to assess patient needs and revise care plans.
• English literacy: read, speak, and write clearly.
• Proficiency with basic computer systems and software used in patient care.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families from admission to discharge on care plans, meds, tests, and procedures.
• Document education and coordinate referrals to other providers as needed.
• Deliver compassionate nursing care and maintain a safe environment.
• Administer medications accurately and respond to unit and code situations.
• Assist physicians with bedside procedures and manage admissions, transfers, and discharges.
