Job summary

AdventHealth in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans in a full-time, day-shift role. You will administer medications, educate patients and families, and coordinate with the care team to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, an Associate's degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred), and BLS certification, with 1+ acute care hospital experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required
• BLS certification required
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred
• English fluency in reading, speaking and writing

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patient needs and plan individualized care.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and hospital protocol.
• Educate patients and families to promote understanding and self-care.
• Coordinate with medical staff to optimize patient care and ensure effective communication.
• Document care activities, interventions and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Respond to code situations and participate in performance improvement activities.
