Job summary

Corewell Health in Troy, MI, is seeking a part-time certified nursing assistant for the 3E Progressive Care Unit. The role supports patient care under RN supervision, assists with safe transport, and performs observer duties as needed.

You will also handle light reception and clerical tasks, with documentation in the electronic medical record. BLS certification within 30 days is required; CNA certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
• American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
• Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize safety.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Current CNA certification preferred

BLS/CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
