Corewell Health's Troy Hospital is seeking a Part-time Night-Shift Observer for the Progressive Care Unit Cardiac 4NW. You will provide patient care under an RN, assist with transport, and document in the EMR.

The role includes acting as an Observer for patients needing constant observation, either in person or via video monitoring. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent; prior hospital/nursing home experience is preferred; BLS within 30 days of hire is required; CNA

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Previous hospital or nursing home experience is preferred.
• BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required within 30 days of hire.
• Current CN A certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to the patient according to the plan of care under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safely transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher and properly document services.
• Provide Observer services for patients requiring constant observation, in person or via remote monitoring.
• Perform receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate unit operations.
• Document care provided in the electronic medical record.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Previous hospital or nursing home experience

American Heart Association BLS within 30 days of hire

Current CNA certification preferred
