Job summary

University Health Network is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator in Toronto to drive surgical initiatives and projects that improve patient care and operational efficiency. You will collaborate with surgeons, administrative staff and external partners to plan, implement and evaluate programs, ensuring adherence to clinical standards.

The role requires strong project management, knowledge of surgical operations, and the ability to coordinate complex tasks across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination or management, preferably in healthcare or surgical setting.
• Experience in hospital or surgical department with understanding of workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate multiple surgical projects, ensuring timely execution.
• Develop project plans with timelines, milestones, budgets.
• Track progress and adjust plans to evolving needs.
• Ensure clear communication between surgical teams, administration, and partners.
• Organize and facilitate project meetings with stakeholders.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and surgical teams to identify improvement areas.
• Assist in implementing new protocols or systems.
• Streamline workflows to improve efficiency in the surgical department.
• Prepare and review operational procedures for regulatory compliance.
• Gather and analyze data on performance metrics (outcomes, satisfaction, efficiency).
• Provide regular reports to senior leadership on status and challenges.
• Create presentations for leadership detailing status and performance.
• Coordinate with clinicians and staff to ensure project success and vendor management.
• Maintain confidentiality of project data and adapt to changing dynamics.
