Mayo Clinic Arizona’s Progressive Care Unit is a high-acuity, 24-bed unit providing advanced monitoring and care for diverse patient populations. Nurses deliver comprehensive care with leadership through preceptor and quality-improvement activities.

The role requires an RN license, BLS, and ACLS on hire, with experience in progressive or intermediate care preferred. The unit emphasizes teamwork, adaptability, and patient advocacy in a Magnet Facility setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associate or diploma nursing program; RN start date must provide evidence of baccalaureate degree within five years.
• BSN or MSN preferred.
• Current RN license by applicable state requirements; BLS competency and ACLS required on hire date.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care including direct patient care and education.
• Support nursing practice across settings and continuum of care.
• Lead through preceptor roles, formal and informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
• Delegate patient care based on skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
