Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a dedicated registered nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. This role focuses on coordinating nursing care, patient education, and safe transitions across the continuum of care within a Magnet Facility.

You will practice under the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and contribute to quality improvement while supporting diverse patient populations across Neurosurgery, Neurology, and other specialties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program; RN start date must provide documented evidence of program completion or BSN within five years.
• Current RN license; maintain BLS competency; ACLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Progressive or Intermediate Care experience preferred.
• Computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Provide leadership within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Mentor and delegate patient care according to skill level, patient acuity and resources.
• Engage in committees or projects as required by unit and department.
• May be required to drive a personal vehicle as part of the role.
