Job summary

Mayo Clinic Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit to coordinate nursing care, provide direct patient care, and educate patients and families. The RN will support practice across settings and participate in quality improvement projects in a Magnet Facility.

Responsibilities include leadership through preceptor roles, staffing coordination, and managing transitions of care. Licensure, BLS, ACLS on hire, and flexibility to work nights and weekends are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited associate or diploma nursing program as recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• All entry-level RN start dates after Apr 1, 2020 must provide evidence of baccalaureate degree within five years from start date.
• Computer skills required; prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.
• Support nursing practice across settings to meet patient and family needs.
• Provide leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement activities.
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, patient acuity, and resources.
