Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Lab Technician III - Surgical Pathology to join its Histology team. The role supports surgical pathology workflows by accurately entering specimen data into LIS, performing advanced processing, and helping prepare slides and blocks for analysis.

The position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work with biological materials in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (preferably in science).
• Two years of lab processing experience.
• Four years of lab technician or comparable processing experience may substitute the education requirement.
• Active enrollment in the Cleveland Clinic MLS program may substitute the education and experience requirement.

Responsabilités

• Enter specimen information into the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Perform advanced manual processing and problem solving in accessioning/data entry and investigations.
• Create slides and/or duties associated with subspecialty client liaison and data analytics.
• Receive and accession specimens into the LIS and conduct higher level accessioning including esoteric testing.
• Track investigations and serve as subspecialty client liaison.
• Perform tasks in Anatomic Pathology including slide/cell block creation, tissue embedding, and cytology adequacy assessments.

Formation

Associate degree (science)

Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, physics or medical laboratory science

Active enrollment in the Cleveland Clinic MLS program
