Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join a team where precision and collaboration drive patient care. You will review consultations, verify identifiers, enter data, and coordinate with pathologists and lab leadership to direct daily workflow in a dynamic setting.

This role emphasizes hands-on LIS work, advanced sample handling, and subspecialty liaison duties within Anatomic Pathology, with an evening shift from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Associate degree (preferably in science)
• Two years of lab processing experience
• Four years of lab technician or comparable processing experience may substitute the education requirement
• Active enrollment in the Cleveland Clinic MLS program may substitute the education and experience requirement

Responsibilities

• Review consultations from other labs and verify identifiers
• Enter data accurately into the LIS and manage data workflows
• Coordinate with leadership, supervisors, Pathologists and other lab reps
• Perform advanced manual processing and problem-solving techniques in accessioning and data entry
• Conduct higher-level accessioning in the LIS including esoteric testing
• Serve as a subspecialty client liaison and assist in cytology adequacy assessments
• Prepare specimens for analysis and maintain safety and SOP compliance
