Brown University Health seeks a dedicated patient support assistant to transport patients to the surgical suite and assist in preoperative scrubs. The role involves lifting, positioning patients, stocking supplies, and helping prepare and sterilize equipment for procedures.

You'll work in Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, primarily Monday to Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm with alternating weekends, contributing to safe, efficient surgical services while upholding the organization's values of

Formación

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Ability to recognize changes in patient’s condition and report to nursing staff.
Knowledge of aseptic techniques to ensure proper cleaning of rooms and equipment.
Ability to perform simple numerical calculations to requisition supplies.

Responsabilidades

Transports patients to and from the surgical suite.
Reviews preoperative charts to ensure forms are signed and tests completed; informs nursing personnel of discrepancies.
Assists in prepping patients for surgery and in preoperative scrubs; lifts and positions patients.
Cleans and maintains operating rooms and sterilizes equipment.
Assembles charge form packets for specific procedures.
