Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Perioperative Attendant for Fairfield Hospital to support surgical teams and patient care. You will assist with setup, patient positioning, and transporting patients, while maintaining supply levels and equipment readiness in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and preferred BLS. Experience in perioperative settings is valued; strong teamwork and accurate documentation are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS Basic Life Support preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily set-up of the surgical suites and rooms turnover.
• Aids with patient positioning, lifting and transfers; performs sterile holds as needed.
• Maintains supplies and linens for surgery and anesthesia; reports shortages.
• Sets up equipment and positioning devices for surgery; reports broken or missing items.
• Transports patients between departments as needed and assists with errands.
• Performs patient POCT and daily quality control on POCT devices.
