Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Non-Certified Surgical Technologist for Clermont Hospital to support the operative team by preparing sterile instruments and supplies and maintaining aseptic technique throughout procedures. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to adapt to special equipment and supplies.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and an accompanying Surgical Technology credential or related certification; BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associates Degree, Vocational Certification, or Military Certificate in Surgical Technology is required, unless hired into a Labor and Delivery unit in Ohio then preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure and maintains aseptic technique.
• Prepares, maintains, and organizes sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure.
• Provides complete case preparation with the ability to adapt to special instruments, supplies, and equipment.
• Assists with pre and post procedure cleaning of the operative room and instruments.
• Prepares and performs surgical skin prep and clipping as indicated by procedure.
