Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Surgical Services Assistant to support quality patient care in our perioperative environment. You will prepare procedure rooms, maintain equipment and supplies, and transport and position patients to ensure efficient, safe workflows throughout the department.

You will work closely with the surgical team, recognize changes in patient condition, and assist with collecting routine clinical data while adhering to Mercy policies and infection-prevention practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required; patient care or healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required or may be obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities
