Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health West Hospital in Kentucky is seeking a Perioperative Attendant to join the surgical services team in a full-time 40-hour day shift. The role supports clinical staff under RN guidance and performs OR setup, patient transport, and supply management to ensure safe, efficient care.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS preferred, and at least one year of perioperative experience; on-the-job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support is preferred.
• One year of perioperative experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up surgical suites and maintain clean and orderly OR spaces.
• Assist with patient positioning, moving, and sterile holds as needed.
• Restock supplies and manage linens and equipment for surgery daily.
• Transport patients between departments and retrieve items as needed.
• Perform POCT and daily quality control checks where required.
