Job summary

Mercy Medical Center, part of Trinity Health Of New England, seeks a Full-time Healthcare Support to assist in Surgical Services. Responsibilities include cleaning ORs, transporting patients, assisting with positioning, and maintaining equipment and supplies to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.

Minimum one year in a healthcare facility as an orderly/transport aide and CPR certification (or within six weeks of hire) are required. 40 hours, day shift, benefits start day one.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in a healthcare facility as an orderly or transport aide.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within six weeks of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize operating rooms and related areas.
• Assist OR personnel with positioning equipment and patient positioning.
• Transport patients safely and respectfully.
• Set up OR procedures, turnover, and terminal cleaning.
• Maintain inventory of surgical and anesthesia supplies.
• Ensure patient safety through correct identification procedures.
