Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital in Homewood, AL is seeking an Assistant Nurse Operations Manager to lead the Surgery department in a full-time capacity. The ANOM provides leadership and operational oversight for the OR and aligns with hospital goals alongside nursing and medical staff leadership.

The role requires a BSN, Alabama RN license or NLC, BLS, and 2 years RN acute care plus 1 year in leadership; ANCC/AONL leadership certification within 2 years is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required and current RN licensure in Alabama or NLC.
• BLS certification is required; leadership certification preferred within 2 years.
• Minimum 2 years as RN in acute care and 1 year in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates environment and ensures safe, high-quality patient care and compliance with standards.
• Plans, directs, and evaluates delivery of patient care to meet outcomes.
• Fosters safe, high-reliability processes and supports change management.
• Recruits, develops, mentors, and retains nursing staff; manages budgets and staffing.
• Leads implementation of new technologies and procedures to support day-to-day operations.
