Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to assist in a fast-paced hospital unit. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, ensure safety, and support the interdisciplinary care plan from admission to discharge.

You will perform vitals, specimen collection, EKGs, and basic treatments while maintaining patient comfort and satisfaction. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, completion of a PCT/CNA/MA program or nursing

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of one of: PCT/CNA/MA program or Nursing Fundamentals program or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• AHA BLS/HCP certification within 60 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care across age groups per care plan.
• Communicate with RN and health-care team on patient status.
• Document vital signs, procedures, and lab specimens.
• Assist with admissions, procedures, and patient transport.
• Support unit PI activities and adherence to standards.
