Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join our dedicated team in New Jersey. Under RN supervision, you will provide direct and indirect patient care, support assessments, vitals, and safety, and help maintain a compassionate care environment.

The role offers growth through the PCT Apprenticeship and opportunities to expand clinical skills such as phlebotomy and EKG under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent educational program.
• Completion of one of: CNA/MA/PCT program or accredited nursing program; or HMH PCT Apprenticeship.
• Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team-based care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Assist with patient assessment, safety, and comfort measures.
• Record vitals, labs, and documents in patient records; communicate changes.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and specimen handling as directed.
• Support interdisciplinary care plans from admission to discharge.
