Cedars-Sinai is seeking a skilled Coding Specialist to assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for patients across specialties. You will ensure proper modifiers and adhere to coding guidelines to optimize reimbursement and data quality.

This role requires CPC certification, with COSC/CIRC preferred, and at least two years of surgical coding experience within a multi-specialty practice. Experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and knowledge of California/National reporting requirements are advantageous.

Competenze

• Must be CPC certified; COSC and CIRCC certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of surgical coding experience in a multi-specialty medical group.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding and payment methodologies.

Mansioni

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes for patients at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and affiliates.
• Apply appropriate modifiers to optimize reimbursement and data quality.
• Maintain familiarity with coding regulations, Medicare rules, and surgical coding guidelines.
• Attend seminars/workshops for updates on new coding rules; escalate issues when needed.
