Job summary

UHS is seeking a Patient Transport/Support role in the Surgery department. You will assist with patient transport during admission, transfer, and discharge, as well as bed preparation for admissions and emergencies, while maintaining patient confidentiality and following safety and infection control guidelines.

You will help with positioning and transfer of patients in the OR under the direction of RN/MD, demonstrating teamwork and adherence to compliance policies as part of a high-standard care

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or higher required.
• Minimum of 6 months of general medical experience preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic knowledge of good body mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transport of patients in admission, transfer and discharge to promote efficiency.
• Assist in bed preparation for admissions, transfers, or emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow safety protocols.
• Assist with positioning and transfer of patients in the OR under RN/MD direction.
