United Health Services (UHS) is seeking an LPN/OR Technician to prepare operating rooms, maintain sterile technique, and assist surgeons and nurses during procedures in the Night shift at UHS Wilson Medical Center.

The role emphasizes meticulous asepsis, efficient instrument turnover, and collaboration with the OR team to support safe patient care. Minimum nursing diploma and NY license required; CPR within 3 months of hire; prior OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• Current New York State Practical Nurse License.
• CPR Certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsabilités

• Prepare operating rooms and ensure sterile instruments are available.
• Assist surgeons and nurses during procedures.
• Maintain medical records and coordinate communications with care team.
• Transcribe physician orders when necessary.
• Enter and audit patient data in the EMR.
• Process admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Maintain unit supplies and participate in safety/compliance.
• Coordinate resident consultations and unit repairs as needed.
