WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a dedicated Unlicensed Assistive Personnel to support the perioperative nursing team. You will assist with preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative tasks, including vital signs, daily living activities, and basic care under RN supervision.

Role requires a High School diploma, PCA orientation, and BLS within 30 days. Prior CNA/MA experience is preferred.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of departmental clinical support or PCA orientation.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date.

Mansioni

• Performs preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative support activities to assist the nursing team caring for surgical/procedural patients and may provide total care as appropriate.
• Uses aseptic technique to open sterile supplies, assists with prep of patients, and maintains a clean work area.
• Transports patients and equipment between areas, assists with transfers and positioning.
• Maintains inventory by stocking supplies, instruments, and equipment and tracking items.
• Supports Sterile Processing tasks and room turnover, including cleaning and organizing areas.
• Documents weight, temperature, vital signs, and other patient data as directed by nursing staff.
