Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan is seeking a professional Surgery Scheduler to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for patients, scheduling surgical procedures and pre-op appointments while assisting providers and supporting patient care.

You will help obtain insurance authorizations, manage consent forms, and assist with communications and MyChart tasks to ensure smooth operations and accurate records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent training.
• 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and manages consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
