Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a customer-focused Procedure Scheduler to join our team. You will schedule complex medical procedures, obtain insurance authorizations, and oversee consent forms for surgical procedures while supporting providers and patients.

Responsibilities include coordinating procedures, updating the EHR, handling payments, and assisting with MyChart support. A high school diploma and 1 year of relevant scheduling experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training preferred.
• Experience scheduling medical procedures or appointments is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule complex medical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and manage consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update the EHR system.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Support day-to-day office operations.
