Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to be the first point of contact for patients and to support providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings. You will lead scheduling for Schedulers I and II, assist with training and pilots, and contribute to patient care coordination.

Responsibilities include scheduling, authorizations, billing support, and data analysis to improve scheduling efficiencies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3–5 years experience as a Surgery Scheduler.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and manage consent forms for procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversee provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and assist with billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
• Gather data and analyze scheduling efficiencies.
• Coordinate Enhanced Recovery or Surgical Home activities.
