UCLA Health in Los Angeles is seeking a Surgery Scheduler, float, to coordinate patient scheduling, admissions, and perioperative procedures across UCLA clinics. You will obtain insurance authorizations, answer calls, prepare documentation, and ensure accurate data entry in the EMR.

This role requires strong knowledge of OB/GYN terminology, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to travel to department clinics for coverage; bilingual Spanish is strongly preferred.

Formación

• Understanding of OB/GYN procedures and terminology.
• Experience with third-party insurance and authorization processes.
• Ability to research CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Proficient in MS Office and data entry.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Schedule patient appointments, admissions, and procedures.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and explain charges to patients.
• Prepare charts, documentation, and medical records for physician clinics.
• Liaise with patients, physicians, nursing units, and UCLA departments.
• Travel to department clinics for coverage as needed.
• Prepare reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
