Qualifications

• Strong understanding of insurance concepts including deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and out-of-pocket maximums.

Responsibilities

• Schedules patient procedures for operating room; ensures accurate information flow.
• Coordinates with anesthesia groups to confirm scheduling for coverage.
• Verifies patients' insurance coverage and calculates patient financial responsibility; notifies patients of payment due at time of service.
• Boards patients for surgery at out-of-office facilities.
• Communicates with, and coordinates large groups (managers, physicians, audiologists, and medical assistants).
