Beacon Medical Group is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in the Perioperative Department to manage all aspects of surgical scheduling, patient greeting, and front-office tasks in a busy clinical setting.

The role involves coordinating with physicians, hospitals, and insurers, ensuring pre-certification and medical necessity, and maintaining accurate records while providing world-class service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; preferred at least 17 years old.
• Experience in healthcare/clinical environment or scheduling office is preferred.
• Familiarity with health record coding and insurance plans is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is required, or a related course completed during first year.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgeries and coordinate with providers, patients and departments.
• Greet patients, answer calls, relay messages, and assist with office tasks.
• Organize records for surgery and prepare surgery packets.
• Ensure pre-certification guidelines and insurance requirements are met.
• Maintain records, reports and files per policies and procedures.
• Liaise with hospitals, departments, facilities and vendors.
