Job summary

SurgCenter Pinellas seeks a Surgery Scheduler to coordinate and schedule surgical procedures, serving as the liaison among surgeons, patients, anesthesia teams, and staff. The role requires meticulous organization, strong communication, and timely documentation in EMR systems.

The Scheduler will manage case from initial scheduling through day of surgery, ensuring accuracy, authorization, and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling or related environment preferred.
• Familiarity with ambulatory surgery scheduling helpful.
• Strong computer and EMR skills required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures according to availability and priorities.
• Coordinate dates/times with physicians’ offices, patients, anesthesia providers, and staff.
• Obtain and verify patient demographic, insurance, and surgical information.
