Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinic and surgery schedules for providers to avoid conflicts.
• Maintains HIPAA/compliance and patient safety regulations.
• Coordinates surgery schedules with internal and external operating rooms.
• Submits surgical clearances for scheduling into the OR.
• Pre-certification information submitted to obtain insurance coverage prior to surgery.
• Acts as liaison between families and surgical centers for education and authorizations.
• Schedules outpatient and inpatient surgery, procedures, and testing for patients.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Good communication and documentation skills are required.
