Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a Day Shift Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical procedures and ensure accurate, compliant scheduling. You will act as the first point of contact for patients and support providers by arranging surgeries and related appointments.

The role requires 1 year of Surgery Scheduler experience or equivalent medical reception work, and strong communication with patients, surgeons, offices, hospitals, and insurers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in medical reception functions.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training.
• Ability to coordinate with patients, surgeons, offices, hospitals and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and manage consent forms.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversee provider schedule templates and monthly schedules inputs.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and day-to-day office operations.
