Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group in Michigan seeks a detail‑oriented Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical procedures, manage pre‑op steps, and communicate with patients, providers, offices, hospitals and insurers.

The role requires at least 1 year of scheduling or medical reception experience, a high school diploma, day shift, full‑time hours, and a commitment to accurate, compliant patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as a Surgery Scheduler or equivalent training.
• Demonstrated proficiency performing all Medical Reception core functions (check in, check out and phones).

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and oversee consent forms.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Maintain provider schedules and inputs monthly calendars.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Support day-to-day office operations.
