Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide clerical support and schedule surgeries and follow-up visits. You will verify benefits, coordinate referrals, and manage related tests while maintaining HIPAA compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years surgery scheduling experience, preferably OBGYN.
• Ability to verify patient benefits.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedules surgery appointments and follow-up visits.
• Checks in patients following surgery and verifies insurance benefits.
• Coordinates referrals related to pending surgeries.
• Schedules Level 2 sonograms and related tests.
• Represents clinic professionally and adheres to HIPAA guidelines.
• Attends meetings and participates in team development activities.

This position is responsible for scheduling surgery appointments along with other clerical duties.Schedules patients for surgery and follow up appointments.Checks in with patients following surgery.Verifies insurance benefits.Coordinates referrals related to pending surgeries.Schedules patients for Level 2 sonograms.Represents clinic in a professional manner.
