Job summary

Women’s Care in the United States is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide professional clerical support and schedule surgeries and follow-up appointments in a busy outpatient setting. The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with patients, providers and staff.

You will verify insurance benefits, coordinate referrals, schedule Level 2 sonograms, and maintain HIPAA compliance while presenting a courteous and professional image of

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years surgery scheduling experience, preferably OBGYN.
• Prior experience verifying patient benefits.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to be a self-starter that can multi-task in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients in an effective manner.
• Ability to use a computer and enter data in electronic medical record system, preferably eCW.
• Medical Assistant triage experience a plus.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery appointments and follow-up appointments.
• Check in with patients following surgery.
• Verify insurance benefits.
• Coordinate referrals related to pending surgeries.
• Schedule patients for Level 2 sonograms.
• Represent clinic in a professional manner.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team activities and professional development.
• Comply with HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.

This position is responsible for scheduling surgery appointments along with other clerical duties.Schedules patients for surgery and follow up appointments.Checks in with patients following surgery.Verifies insurance benefits.Coordinates referrals related to pending surgeries.Schedules patients for Level 2 sonograms.Represents clinic in a professional manner.
