Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Surgery Scheduler in Naperville, IL. This full-time role supports a physician-led team and coordinates pre-op testing, appointments, and patient communications while ensuring confidentiality and accurate scheduling.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in surgery scheduling, telephone, computer, and customer service. Compensation includes base pay with potential bonuses and other incentives.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly manner whether on the phone or in person.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal physicians and with scheduling staff at facilities.
• Verify patient personal and insurance information – coordinate pre-op testing per insurance.
• Single point-of-contact for internal staff and external inquiries for all scheduled procedures.
• Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op lab and/or other testing before procedures and surgeries if necessary.
• Contact patient to confirm procedure/surgery.
• Explain and verify proper prep instructions with patients, route to nurse if appropriate.
• Prepare all essential paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
• Verify daily doctor’s schedules, print and distribute to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality.
• Work with billing staff to ensure all procedures are charged.
• Cover/fill-in for co-workers as needed.
• Track case volume and direct cases to facilities per direction of management team
• All other duties/responsibilities as assigned.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.35-$24.52, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives.
