Job summary

Midwest Physicians Administrative Services, LLC dba Duly Health and Care in Naperville, IL is seeking a surgical scheduling coordinator to greet patients, coordinate pre-op testing, and serve as the single point of contact for scheduling procedures. The role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, CPT/ICD-9 coding, and the ability to multitask while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Travel to other sites may be required; base pay ranges with potential bonuses and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2+ years prior surgery scheduling, telephone, computer and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and ICD-9 coding.
• Ability to learn new computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in a friendly manner whether on the phone or in person.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal physicians and scheduling staff.
• Verify patient personal and insurance information -- coordinate pre-op testing per insurance.
• Single point-of-contact for internal staff and external inquiries for all scheduled procedures.
• Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op lab and/or other testing before procedures and surgeries if necessary.
• Contact patient to confirm procedure/surgery.
• Explain and verify proper prep instructions with patients, route to nurse if appropriate.
• Prepare all essential paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
• Verify daily doctor's schedules, print and distribute to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality.
• Work with billing staff to ensure all procedures are charged.
• Cover/fill-in for co-workers as needed.
• Track case volume and direct cases to facilities per direction of management team.

Overview:

Naperville - Ogden Ave Full-Time, 40 hours

Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm

Travel: Required to travel to other sites as needed - Lockport and Joliet

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.30-24.50/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
