Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Full Time Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Fremont, CA. The role involves coordinating surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments while ensuring accurate eligibility verification and insurance coverage.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (college preferred), EHR/EMR experience, and familiarity with medical insurances. Prior experience as an MA, LPN, or RN is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; college preferred.
• Ability to multitask and handle interruptions.
• Knowledge of medical insurances required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and coverage.
• Schedule surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments.
• Discuss preoperative instructions with patients as directed by physicians.
• Obtain required medical clearances, preoperative testing, labs, and EKGs.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

About the Role

• We are looking for a Full Time Surgery Scheduler to join our team

What You’ll Do

• Verifying patient eligibility and coverage
• Scheduling surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op appointments
• Discussing preoperative instructions with the patient, as directed by the physicians
• Obtaining all requested medical clearances, preoperative testing, lab and EKG results as indicated
• Additional duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED certificate, college (Preferred)

Qualifications:

• Ability to preform multiple and diverse tasks with frequent interruption
• Working knowledge of medical insurances

Experience:

• 1 year experience with physician group practice preferred
• EHR/EMR experience
• Experience as an MA, LPN, or RN a plus
