Job summary

Balance Health in San Diego is seeking a detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to coordinate surgical cases and support patient care. You will manage scheduling of procedures, verify information, and liaise with physicians and staff to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has healthcare experience, strong communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while providing excellent patient service and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years in a healthcare position preferred, but training the right individual is possible.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment.
  • Patient-focused with the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling Surgical operations with excellence and care
  • Provide a high level of service to patients
  • Answer phone calls, take messages, and route calls to the appropriately
  • Assist with medical administrative tasks including insurance verification and billing
  • Obtaining pre-operative clearance and medical records
  • Providing patients with directions before and after surgery.

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented scheduler to join our incredible team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of scheduling patients for surgery. This role will provide a high level of service in order to schedule procedures from physician according to established guidelines. A top candidate will posses excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling Surgical operations with excellence and care

Requirements
Experience:
  • Proven experience in a Surgery Scheduler role
  • Familiarity with office procedures and phone systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical administrative support
  • Experience working in a medical office setting, Podiatry experience preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills.
