Job summary

Golden State Orthopedics & Spine is seeking a Full Time Surgery Scheduler in Brentwood, CA, to verify patient eligibility, schedule surgeries and pre/post-op appointments, and discuss preoperative instructions with patients. The role requires handling medical clearances and various tests with physician direction.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (college preferred), 1 year of physician-group practice experience, and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform multiple tasks with interruptions
• Knowledge of medical insurances
• 1 year experience with physician group practice preferred
• EHR/EMR experience; MA/LPN/RN a plus

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and coverage
• Schedule surgeries, hospital procedures, and pre/post-op visits
• Discuss preoperative instructions with patients
• Obtain medical clearances, preoperative testing, labs and EKGs as indicated
• Perform additional duties as assigned
