Job summary

Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in San Diego is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to support scheduling of surgical procedures and ensure smooth patient flow. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced medical office.

Responsibilities include answering calls, insurance verification and billing, obtaining pre-operative clearance, and providing directions before and after surgery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in a healthcare position; willing to train
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented scheduler to join our incredible team. As a Surgery Scheduler, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of scheduling patients for surgery. This role will provide a high level of service in order to schedule procedures from physician according to established guidelines. A top candidate will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling Surgical operations with excellence and care
• Provide a high level of service to patients
• Answer phone calls, take messages, and route calls to the appropriate
• Assist with medical administrative tasks including insurance verification and billing
• Obtaining pre-operative clearance and medical records
• Providing patients with directions before and after surgery.

Experience

• Proven experience in a Surgery Scheduler role
• Familiarity with office procedures and phone systems
• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical administrative support
• Experience working in a medical office setting, Podiatry experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills.
