You will coordinate with Surgery Scheduling, patients, carriers, and ASC to resolve authorizations and eligibility efficiently.

Qualifications

• 1 year of medical receptionist, medical scheduling, or clinic experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to proactively identify scheduling issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to understand surgical diagnoses, procedure urgency, and appropriate scheduling timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily schedule and workflow; run Schedule report multiple times daily.
• Stay ahead of surgical schedule by two weeks; handle same-day and next-day add-ons.
• Follow up on authorizations, monitor eligibility, and document updates in EMR.
• Communicate financial expectations and potential barriers to patients clearly and professionally.
